Managing Factory Compliance & Assuring Product Safety
Staying on top of factory compliance and the shifting issues surrounding product quality and safety has become a big challenge. Gene Rider brings a wealth of global experience in providing quality and safety audit and compliance services to a wide range of industries.
This breakout session will give you the critical elements of a robust but practical quality and safety audit process throughout the product life cycle: from supplier selection, to design appraisal, pre-production assessment, production and delivery.
In addition to heading up Intertek's Consumer Goods North America operations—one of the world's leading providers of quality and safety solutions to the Consumer Goods Market—Gene Rider is president and founder of Intertek's Risk Assessment and Management business stream. He has devoted his life to risk analysis and design safety, particularly for consumer products.
Working closely with the medical community to develop innovative technologies for assessing the risks posed by consumer products, Rider has achieved influential status as the leading force in injury prevention with special focus on adolescent exposure. The technologies developed by his division have been shared with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and, even more importantly, have been applied to help clients effectively integrate safety into their product designs and business processes. Under his direction, Intertek Risk Assessment & Management has grown to be the world leader in essential safety.
