IHA Increases Services with Membership
April 1, 2008-March 31, 2009

The International Housewares Association is committed to maximizing the success of the home products industry by providing a world-class trade show. In recent years the International Housewares Association has greatly expanded the services offered to our members. In order to make those services more accessible to the entire membership, we are revising our membership offering so that members have unprecedented, discounted or no-charge access to those services.

For the 2008/2009 membership year, all IHA members will receive these savings as a part of their membership fee:

  • A $4.50 per square foot discount for booth space at the International Home + Housewares Show, a savings of $450 per 100 square feet of booth space.
  • Access for paid exhibitors to a list of registered Show buyers, a $1,200 market price.
  • Elimination of the $200 fee to enroll in the International Housewares Shippers Association.
  • A $200 annual discount for membership in the IHA Credit Group.
  • Elimination of the $600 fee for the 1st year for members who opt in to join CORE, IHA’s chief officer share groups.
  • Elimination of the $350 fee for the 1st year for members who opt in to join the Housewares Export Council (HECNA) to receive industry assistance in reaching their exporting goals.
  • Free access to IHA’s annual State of the Industry Report (upon completion of your Membership Profile). A $200 value.
  • Discounted participation in the annual Housewares Design Awards competition, a $50 per entry value.
  • Discounted participation in the Vendor Compliance Federation, IHA’s supply chain cost reduction partner, a minimum $200 value.

This represents a potential savings of $3,450.

In addition all members have access to:

  • A year-round listing on IHA’s website with complete company contact information and direct links plus access to a wealth of industry information on the site
  • Contact lists for all Show media attendees to assist in your PR efforts
  • Industry Advocacy through IHA’s Government Affairs Office in D.C.
  • Individual member basic consultation on government affairs issues through IHA’s Government Affairs Office in D.C.
  • Individual member basic consultation on international trade law issues through IHA’s International Government Affairs Office in D.C.
  • Export advice from IHA global offices
  • Emerging country import assistance
  • Discounted LTL freight
  • Discounted FedEx and Kinko’s services
  • Discounted energy plans for members in deregulated states
  • Quarterly subscription to Housewares MarketWatch, IHA’s industry data newsletter
  • Quarterly subscription to IHA BusinessWatch, IHA’s key business issues alert
  • Research through IHA’s Consumer Advisory Council
  • Two Retail Forward IHA-member-focused custom daily newsletters
  • Housewares-focused Job Center on IHA’s website with low access fees
  • Export sales opportunities through trade missions and pavilions at foreign trade fairs
