The POS data covers the retail channels of mass, department store, general merchandise, kitchen specialty, electronics/appliance (vacuums only) and drug store (personal care only).

Past issues of Housewares MarketWatch benchmark consumer purchase profiles in every segment of the industry. The consumer research, conducted by Riedel Marketing Group, includes data on household penetration, purchase frequency, purchase intention and purchase incidence by household type. These issues also include POS data in 52 electrics and non-electrics categories provided by NPD.
