A nationally recognized expert in antitrust law, Wendelynne J. Newton is passionate about advancing and protecting consumer product companies. Her practice at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney focuses on antitrust and trade regulation issues, including litigation, transactional and counseling work. She is the first woman to serve on the firm’s Executive Management Team, and also chairs the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice Group, which serves as legal counsel to hundreds of companies in the Mid-Atlantic region and throughout the United States. Under her direction, Buchanan’s antitrust practice in Pittsburgh, Pa., has been ranked in the top tier in U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Law Firms” listing. Newton was named the Pittsburgh Antitrust Lawyer of the Year by “The Best Lawyers in America” in 2013 and 2015 and is repeatedly recognized in the “Chambers Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers” in the field of antitrust law.
