There are several benefits when booking at an official hotel property:

Low Rates & Cost Savings Flexible Terms
Best Rate Pledge Convenience
Hotel Incentives Customer Service
Support the Show Networking
Group Bookings Book Before Poachers Hit

Low Rates & Cost Savings
IHA negotiates the lowest available rates with our hotel partners, below their rack rate, and at a variety of price points. Special emphasis is placed on early-bird rates offered for reservations made prior to January 1, 2018. In exchange for rates lower than the standard negotiated rates, the hotel benefits from earlier reservation commitments while the Show’s attendees and exhibitors can take advantage of the cost-savings. It’s a win-win!

IHA is closely tuned into Chicago’s ever-changing hotel landscape. If rate reductions are needed on rates that have already been negotiated, we will make sure to execute. 18 hotels have already reduced their rates for the 2018 Show!

Best Rate Pledge
IHA has a strong relationship with the hotel industry, allowing IHA to negotiate deep discounts on your behalf. Contracted deals are extremely hard to beat. However, if a lower rate is found, we’ll do everything in our power to make sure you’re getting the best deal, even re-confirming your reservation at the new lower rate.

Hotel Incentives
Many of our contracted hotels offer complimentary extras to those who book as part of the official hotel block. Incentives include free internet access, restaurant discounts, spa discounts and much more. When booking a group, these value-added incentives can greatly reduce your company’s bottom line.

Are hotel points important? Don’t worry, you are able to receive your points from affiliated hotels while booking through OnPeak.

Support the Show
Booking in the block provides support for our Show in a variety of ways. It allows us to report more accurate economic impact numbers to the city of Chicago, McCormick Place and Choose Chicago (convention bureau), which strengthens our negotiations for future events. More rooms booked in the block also means we can better meet the needs of our attendees and exhibitors for the future.

Group Bookings
Book your entire group—large or small—in real-time, with immediate confirmations. Nab the rooms you need now, and log in to assign guest names later. Manage payment for your whole block, or guarantee each room with separate credit cards.

Book Before Poachers Hit
Beware of housing poachers. These companies will entice attendees and exhibitors with hotel rates lower than ours, but will then attach hidden fees costing your company more. In fact, when IHA follows up with hotels for potentially offering a lower rate, the hotels confirm that the poacher’s rates are not accurate.

That said, the official housing partner of the International Home + Housewares Show is OnPeak, the only housing company affiliated with the International Home + Housewares Show. Hotel reservations made through any company other than OnPeak are at risk. If other companies contact you for hotel/travel bookings, they are not endorsed by the International Home + Housewares Show or the International Housewares Association (IHA).

Flexible Terms
We know plans change so that’s why there are no fees for changes and no full pre-payment required at the time of booking—unlike most other booking channels.

Convenience
IHA provides complimentary shuttle service from all contracted hotels for a quick and easy way to get to the Convention Center while reducing your overall T&E costs.

Customer Service
You have plenty of things to think about when preparing for the show; the last thing you need to worry about is your hotel room. Our housing provider, onPeak, provides dedicated VIP support for you—before, during and after your stay.

Networking
Exhibitors staying within the official hotel block are better able and more likely to take advantage of networking opportunities with show attendees. It’s easy to meet up with a client or prospect in hotel restaurants, lobbies, and bars when they’re conveniently located inside your hotel.
