Doug Young

As a preview to the presentation during the upcoming IBC Global Forum, the following is a brief on Canadian retailer, Canadian Tire. As of September 20, the speaker for the Canadian Tire presentation will be Doug Young, replacing Oliver Horton.

Canadian Tire has a network of more than 1700 stores (to view, click the “View Map” button under the “Locations” section) spread throughout Canada as well as their e-commerce business. Annual sales for Canadian Tire have reach over CAD 3.3 billion and although a giant in terms of retail, this national chain is regarded very fondly by the Canadian consumers for not only fairness in retail practice, but also in the philanthropic efforts that have given generously to communities within Canada.

At the Global Forum, taking place September 23-25, 2018, Doug Young will present Canadian Tire’s strategies for purchasing home and housewares products based on consumer preference and the ideal methods of selling to this retailer.
