Marta Córdoba Vélez

As a preview into the upcoming IBC Global Forum, to follow is additional information on the retail overview session presented by Marta Córdoba Vélez, Assistant Commercial Manager of Sodimac (Homecenter) Colombia:

With more than 240 stores in Latin America, Sodimac has nearly 40 stores in Colombia. Sodimac is owned by Chilean retailer, Falabella, which operates stores in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay. Sodimac is a home improvement store, offering a large range of home and housewares products.

Marta’s team of buyers works with their colleagues on the Falabella team in Chile on group buys as well as buying products for the stores within Colombia. Marta will outline how the group buys and what products her team in Colombia sources for the market. In addition Marta will discuss the types of products the Colombian consumer prefers and how these preferences may vary at a home center from a specialty home and housewares retailer.

The IBC Global Forum takes place in Toronto September 23-25, 2018, bringing together strategic planning and pragmatic international information to facilitate sales and business development in key export markets.
