Newly Renovated Rooms, Fitness Center and Le Bar

Just this past year, Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile unveiled renovations that boast all new interior design inspired by the award winning architecture of the hotel.

In Le Bar, luxurious leather textures and playful faux fur throw pillows pair with sleek lines and metal accents, promising a metropolitan cocktail and dining experience.

“Being a hotel brand with locations around the globe like Paris, London, Berlin, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai, and Bangkok, our hotel brings together explorers from all over the world. We noticed that Le Bar was a place where strangers were meeting, sharing stories and becoming fast friends. The renovation modeled Le Bar’s seating to support this social atmosphere that we were witnessing every day,” says Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile General Manager Sebastien Pfeiffer.

The SoFit fitness center at Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile now features a footprint double the size of their last center, 12 cardio machines with personal television, TechnoGym strengthening equipment, an ARKE core training station, a Batak Lite reaction training station, free weights and fresh fruit and hydration station.

In new guestrooms, you’ll find white, blue, black and gray accents which complement the cool colors of the building’s glass and steel exterior. More outlets and technology upgrades promise a guest-friendly user experience.

Built by French architect Jean-Paul Viguier, the unique shape of Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile stands out among its neighbors. The tower takes the form of a triangular prism with a prow slicing into the sky 32 floors above street level.  The hotel won the “Best New Building Award” in 2003 and the “Best New Building in the last 10 years in Chicago” from the American Institute of Architects in 2004.

Award Winning Cuisine

Blending French elegance with the very best in local flavor, Cafe des Architectes is a dining destination in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. This chic downtown Chicago restaurant welcomes guests with vibrant colors, dynamic lighting and modern artwork. Enjoy the unique ambiance created by interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon coupled with flavorful seasonal menus created by Chef Greg Biggers, who has performed in the International Home + Housewares Show’s Cooking Theater.

Begin your meal with one of the restaurant’s signature appetizers including a seared Hudson Valley foie gras. Then select from enticing entrees including fresh seafood, game or fowl. Complete your dining experience with the cheese ritual and an array of elegant desserts.

Location, Location, Location

Located in the heart of the Gold Coast Historic District, this acclaimed hotel is just steps from the exclusive shopping of the Magnificent Mile, the nightlife of Rush Street and a delightful array of downtown Chicago’s world-famous galleries and museums including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art. Let Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile’s talented Concierge team recommend a great spot in the city to experience during your stay.

Recent awards include Top Hotels in Chicago (#9) Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice, Silver Badge Winner Best Hotels in Illinois from U.S. News & World Report,  AAA Four Diamond Award, Green Key 4 Key Rating, and TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.
