The NPD Group’s home division presented its sixth annual industry performance awards during the International Home & Housewares Show this past March.

Awards were given to small appliance and housewares (non-electric) brands with the largest increase in U.S. market share in 2018, compared to 2017, according to dollar sales from NPD’s Retail Tracking Service.

Three awards were presented to brands with the largest increase in online buyer reach, recognizing growth in their share of online buyers, based on NPD’s Checkout E-commerce service.

“The housewares industry has successfully steered through a highly competitive retail environment over the past few years, and these awards shine a light on the latest set of brands leading the charge,” says Laura Morsovillo, president of NPD’s U.S. Home practice. “As the consumer continues to place an emphasis on their homes and in-home meals and activities, I look forward to our industry’s innovative responses to the resulting needs.”
